Gina and I went to a Matt Wertz concert Saturday night at the House of Blues near downtown. We got there early, ate some dinner, and got the see an excellent concert! The venue was very nice, small, not smoky, etc. so it was very relaxing and fun for a concert. I'm used to totally trashed people in a smoky bar bumping into each other, then fighting to get out of the venue, and waiting an hour in traffic.
So, it AWESOME! Thad Cockrell opened for Matt and was very, very good. He's a great songwriter and was very folksy sounding. I really enjoyed him! Then, Matt Wertz came on and was with a guy named Justin Rosolino. They were amazing as well. Matt is fantastic, but Justin was also amazing, and a very good guitar player! Go check them out...
