Garden Update 1

We got the garden about 1/3 of the way planted yesterday and today! It's coming right along, but it was hard work to get the weeds and tree roots pulled up. Let's hope there's no freeze or more snow that kills everything.

Carissa planting okra seeds
More planting...
The tray of my seedlings and my pitch fork!
So far we've planted: Thyme, Cilantro, Basil, Chives, Spinach, Jalapenoes, Red/Yellow Onions, Soybeans, Carrots, and Okra
Seedlings, wellies, and dirty knees!
Me and my lovely gardening outfit
Wellies!
My puppy after her squirrel
Me and my cilantro plant
Basil

That's it so far, more updates to come as we get it totally planted and it starts to grow!

ok first I noticed that you change into your evening gardening attire...nice..gardens are really cool but my enthusiasm(sp) fizzles faster than a two liter coke with top left off. I have really pretty tulips right now, but I have no idea what I am going to do when they die???Good luck with all you plantings!

Hi Suzanne! Thanks for the comment, we would love to dinner again. I just saw your sister this morning when I dropped off a baby shower invite. I would love for you two to be able to come. The garden looks great! I'm planning on doing mine this week (spring break) if you haven't had enough you're welcome to help me. :)
Oh, and we're having a fellowship night with our homegroup Sunday night, you're welcome to come if you don't have other plans, it's a lot of fun just hanging out with more village people. :) Have a great weekend!
